1st Motor Coach Vacation a great success, Thank You !!!

After looking for 6-months we were fortunate to make a deal on a '94 Fleetwood Southwind. As newbies we had no idea how to prepare for our vacation trip to Gulf State Park (AWESOME!)
A word of thanks to the Senior members of iRV2, I posed lots of questions and received an incredible amount of help.
We traveled 600-miles round trip, stay 7-days and it was just incredible.
A couple of things I found to be important:
1) Get a manual and study it continually
2) Learn as much about the coach systems as you can
3) Find a RV mechanic-you can check at local campgrounds and receive incredible information from locals who know
4) Post all and any questions on iRV2 no matter how silly you may think they are (I still have plenty)

THANK YOU !!!!

We are newbies, too. We took our toy out last weekend for the first time (local, one night trip) and learned a lot from the great folks on this site. I am looking forward to learning more, along with you.

Is the aircraft on your avatar a B 58?

My former neighbor, Lt Col Bob Chamberlain, used to fly "his" B1B over our house in Palmdale, CA. Very cool bomber.

I worked in building in Burbank just down the road from Forest Lawn Memorial park, Hollywood Hills and one of these made a very low flyover that passed directly over us with full afterburners and a rapid climb. Heard it coming and I must say that if it was on a bombing run and you were the target only thing to do is kiss your ass goodbye. Employees abandoned the building thinking it was a major earthquake. I think there must have been a funeral and the pass was to honor someone. LOUD is an understatement.

B-1b is a personal favorite, nothing like a giant delta wing fighter jet, yea I know she's a bomber but just an awesomely powerful, sleek design. We were treated to a couple of incredible fly overs at the Dobbins AFB Air Show many years ago, simply incredible

So what issues did you have with a 94 in 600 miles? Glad it was positive!
