1st trip

Hello,

We recently purchased a 2009 Damon avanti. Our first trip was from tenn to ny this past week. Other than the "normal" bugs to be worked out, it's been a nice trip. We averaged 12.8 mpg and the ride was not as bad as I was anticipating.

The one thing that has me puzzled is this:

The solar controller (for only one panel), the house battery monitor and the dash voltage all read 12-14 volts. How ever the vitron 600s battery monitor was reading the same until a few hours ago, it now reads 2.4 volts. We are currently plugged in at a camp site about half way home. Does anyone have any ideas why the vitron would read only 2 volts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am a newbie so feel free to keep it simple, I won't be insulted.

Thanks

I don't know much about the controllers, but my screen reads 12 to 13 volts until the sun starts to go down, then it drops until it goes dark at night. My one roof panel keeps my house batts up to full when unit parked at home and not plugged in.

Is this the voltage coming just from the the SP, or is it the same at the battery(ies)?

The victron seems to read less then 2 volts when it is raining while driving. The other battery monitors all read 12-14 depending on state of charging. My best guess is a short somewhere?
