2 Way Fridge only Runs when Ignition is in Acc.
Hey Y'all
I purchased a VERY used 94 CruiseMaster
everything works, we have used it a few times now.
while hooked up to 30 Amp Power, My 2 Way Fridge will only work when the Ignition is in Accessory Mode & then after being on for the weekend my RV won't start, I have hooked up a Charger/Tender & Sunday Morning when it came time to leave, the tender said Battery was 100% but still would not start, so I had to put my big charger on it for 15-20 minutes.
I think someone wired some things to my chassis battery instead of the House battery, But I am clueless as to how to find & fix the problem.
Any help with this?
Thanks in Advance
Coop

I think you are on the right track regarding the fridge being wired to the chassis battery. You're going to have to track down the wiring and move it over to the house battery. Since it's unique to your unit I don't think we can offer much help as to how to track it down. You'll just have to follow wires and get out the volt meter. Sorry I can't help more.

My Norcold needs 12v plus either gas or 120v to function, my 12v house batteries wend dead and the Norcold went dead. Sounds like your 12v is somehow going thru your accessory 12v????
My guess is that you need to wire the 12v to the house batteries.

Try pulling fuses from the chassis fuse box under the dash...That should nail down which circuit the last guy tapped into. Once you have that info look for an obvious connection point anywhere that circuit would appear.
Can I also assume it works when the ignition switch is in the run position?

Do this at your own risk, but I have simply disconnected the hot wire to an appliance and grounded it to see which fuse blows. That's one way to track it down.

I think this will make things easier, Now just figure out if the fridge is going to chassis or House battery

The House battery is not connected to the ignition switch.

Why do you need to track it down? Just disconnect the power wire at the fridge, tape it off and run a new fused power wire from the house batteries

I was going to reply that the original wire feeding the house 12 volts was probably still behind the refrigerator. And that you could maybe reconnect to it after finding and disconnecting the made up ignition splice.
Was something like this possibly what you ended up doing?

The problems was in the wiring at the front of the coach, I found the wire going to the fridge, it was connected to a battery ISO 1 connection goes to the chassis battery & the other went to the house battery, the previous owner must have gotten the 2 mixed up, quick fix, it helped when the found the diagram for the chassis wiring..
Thanks for all the help, I'm sure I will be back with more questions later
