2 years inactive 2 long ?

Am buying a 2008 with only 8,000 miles on a 425 Cummins and just did a carfax report. It was all good, but it looks like a repo,
that sat and went to auction.
I am picking it up tomorrow, it is like brand new and now I know why.

Any advice ?

I would replace all the fluids and filters in the engine, transmission and generator. The batteries are probably toast so count on replacing them. Have a truck tire shop inspect the tires. Tires age quickly sitting.

Then enjoy your new motorhome. That Cummins ISL is a sweet engine.

Thank you ! The tires are original, marked '07 so I plan on replacing them soon & I will take all of your advice, including the enjoy part.
The low miles will help as I plan on getting an extended warranty plan, and after living in my '82 Pace Arrow for the last 10 years, I will soak up every care free moment my friend

Service all the fluids, lube every thing that can be lubed, add a shock treatment of algeicide to the fuel tank, and let er roll.

Understand your concern over the tires but there is a good chance that they are just fine. They're not that old and it might be wise to have a good tire shop check them over before you make up your mind. Have them thoroughly check the insides as well as the outsides and you might just be able to postpone that expense for several years. Fluids, lube, filters are all good ideas and I, for one, am very glad I had an extended warranty. Happy trails!

A mechanic said I we would already see the signs if there were dry seals etc. So it should be good to go, took a test drive today and WoW.
I am going to do an extended warranty and really relax. Transferring all my stuff and am ready to roll.

One other thing I will suggest is you get an Emergency Roadside Service plan and I recommend Coach Net.

After months of shopping, studying, and pestering every full timer I ran into, I found a 2008 Gulf Stream Tour Master, and I could not have picked a better time in history to buy one.
I did have to drive through Hell ( Iowa,Missouri,Oklahoma,Texas ) to find my piece of Heaven, but it was well worth it.
So now it's up to the mountains, and I look forward to cruising on up, instead of repeating " I think I can, I think I can...".

Just do your research on the extended warrenty companies. You hear lots of stories about they don't pay claims. Enjoy your new coach

Get as many model and serial numbers as you can find and check everything for recalls. Register as owner with the manufactures so you will be notified of any recalls.
I bought a rig in nearly same condition and have had very few problems. Have fun and enjoy the rig.

We were in a campground there and I talked to a fellow who was living in an old Pace Arrow with his dog and was looking to buy a diesel pusher. We talked alot about various brands and he gave me great advise on a campground at a marina in Duluth harbor where we spent several days watching the tall ships come and go. DACOTAH

If it has sat for two years you may need to flush the fuel system, clean carb or injectors and perhaps replace the brake Master cylinder and/or other brake parts..

If you got a good deal.. none of this is major.

I want to thank you, as I pestered and pumped you and a few other wise men for all the info you have obtained along the way.
After weighing the amount I wanted to spend, diesel/gas, new/used etc. I am living in a Dream, as you saw what I was living in...

Spot & the Tall Ships were impressive, but I will keep mine thank you.
& one of the first things I did was look at the tire dates, and even though they have not been used but a few miles, they will be replaced soon
