2000 Featherlite Vogue 5000 HELP?

I just bought a 2000 Featherlite Vogue 5000 and am struggling to find out information on it online. I think ive established its a freightliner chassis but I can't seem to find front stabilizer links for it and the only windshield replacements I have found will cost me $2k shipped to Milwaukee. It also is holding the air but the rear suspension is sunk down and im not sure if there is a valve I need to open or some kind of ride height switch I need to replace. Thanks for any help. Chad

Welcome to iRV2.

Contact Freightliner's free help line , with your chassis serial number , and ask to join " Access Freightliner " it takes a while to set up but when you're accepted you have online access to parts lists and wiring info specific to your chassis.
1-800-FTL-HELP
The parts lists wont help with the windshield $$$ .
While you're on the phone , be sure to ask for an air system diagram , they can sent that out right away. The diagram will tell you if your chassis has a dump valve for the rear suspension, that may be leaking.
The air suspension on your coach , will be separated from the tanks , by a brake protection valve , that will shut down the air supplied to the suspension when the pressure in the tanks drops to 65 PSI. This is to make sure you have enough pressure to use the brakes and keep the park brake from automatically coming on in the event of an air bag rupture.

Thanks a ton. Im now lost as to if its even a freightliner chassis. Im getting mixed answers and am waiting back from featherlite to see if they are any help. The serial number on the frame matches the serial number of the coach so im thinking its their own frame. Im just trying to get stabilizer links for it. THanks

Hi Chad! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I'm not familiar with that rig so can't be any help.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

from WA State.

Could even be a Gillag chassis.

Featherlite is based on a Prevost chassis/shell and converted by Featherlite..
I would contact Prevost and see if they can give you some guidance .

I agree with saddlesore. I believe your Featherlite was probably built on a Mitchell M5000 chassis.

Mitchell, Vogue, Featherlite, Provost ...all related. Read about the relation HERE

Add Marathon.
Also I do know that Country Coach did a few Prevost shell conversions also.

I have a 2000 featherlite vogue 45' with a slide . can't help with the front stabilizer links . but I have replaced the air bags on the front and drives and the old bags were cracked and I did have a leak on one of the rear bags . the date on all the bags I removed was 1998 .

We have a 2000 v5000 f/l as well, great coach. I have been researching stab bushing replacement and will let you know next week about results. Yes, Vogue make there own chassis for the v5000's with all off the shelf components. Did you get all the spec sheets and build diagrams? 40 or 45 ft? big cat or c12? We are in central MN.

As John stated, Featherlite was building their own chassis back then, using industry-available axles and such. The first 3 digits of the chassis VIN will tell identify the builder, but I'm confident you will find it is Featherlite rather than Freightliner or Prevost. Ask Featherllite to identify the axle and steering components by brand name and model so you can hunt for replacement parts. They probably won't have them anymore.

More recent Featherlites use a chassis purchased elsewhere, e.g. Orevost.
