I just located mine on the right side of the support for the steering column, down about 20 inches from the wheel and behind a couple pieces of trim. I have a 2005 34 foot Monaco Monarc SE on a 22,000# chassis. I understand Ford has been mounting the connector in that location for a long time, They have a SVE Bulletin ( Q-178) out on the internet that has a good photo of the location. It's in a tight location and a mirror and flashlight was helpful in finding it without standing on your head.
Best of luck
