2000 Journey basement air issue

My AC unit will only run the #1 compressor. When 2nd compressor kicks in, unit shuts down within 1-2 minutes. Works fine on 30 amp with just first compressor, but that won't cool the coach. Any suggestions?

Do you have your water heater, block heater microwave and any other appliances turned off. How many amps are you drawing when running one compressor. The system is designed to shut down #2 compressor when the amp load goes above 30amp
Does it work on 50 amp service

BTW, Welcome to IRV2

thanks, Jerry. it pulls about 19 amps on compressor 1 but acts the same way when the generator is running. i have my home AC guy coming to check it out. sure is nice for a first timer like me to have you experienced guys for a sounding board.
