We have a 2000 Mountain Aire. We would love to have a newer coach with all the latest bells and whistles but just can't afford it so I decided to do a few things to the one we have. The coach is in remarkable condition for it's age and I'm a cabinet builder by trade so figured I could do part of it myself. I've replaced the cabinets and the tv up in the nose of the coach and now have a 42" plasma up there. All the shades including the old windshield curtain have been replaced with MCD shades just like they put in the new ones. The windshield and drivers window are even power ;-). We just finished pulling up all of the old carpet and tile and replacing it with all new 12 x 24 porcelain tile. the only thing left to do is replacing the carpet in the slideout and bedroom which has been ordered but won't be in for a couple weeks. These last 2 things won't show much in the pictures so I've decided to go ahead and post some before and after pics. I posted this in the Newmar forum but thought others might like seeing the pictures.

It's definitely been quite a project. Wish my pictures were better but i just took them with my phone. Very pleased with the outcome.

Nice...very nice. Makes me want to go to work on my '01 DSDP which has a very similar floorplan. Not sure I'd get the same results though.

After the tv replacement and new blinds I contacted Newmar for a bid on the new tile & carpet. They said it was a frequently asked question and quoted $14,700. I just about choked. I hired the installation of the new tile but did all the prep work myself (prep took 2 days). I worked my rear off those 2 days but got it all done. I have new carpet on order. After it's all done I will have $3800 in the job. Materials for tile ran $1700, installation was $1000 and the new carpet installed is running $1100.
