2000 Zanzibar dash a/c not working

Hi, I am a new member and not sure if I am doing this correctly, have owed my motorhome for 4 years without any problems but now I have one. Does anyone have knowledge on 2000 zanzibar (330 Hp Cat) dash a/c, I am not getting power to a/c compressor, system is charged and all other system work fine. There must be a fuse between dash a/c swith and compressor but I can not find it, does anyone know if there is a fuse and it's location, safari manuals have a lot to be desired.
Thank you

Head on over to either of the Safari Yahoo websites, and look in the file section for wiring schematics. Both sites have them and they are downloadable. Join the Zoos There.

Zanzibar A/C

I have 2002 Zanzibar 3896. You might want to check the A/C relay located in the terminal box located in the hatch below the drivers window. After several unsuccessful attempts to have the problem fixed at an RV repair shop, I took it to an A/C specialist. Found that relay that controls evap fan and compressor was undersized, overheats and cuts out, in addition the wire size to the evap was too small, restricting current causing overheating and failure of the fan.

They changed the wiring and put in a heavy duty A/C relay and replaced the evap fan, all has been fine since.

Dash Air

Thanks for the info, just returning from trip to coast so I have stopped a/c work, will get back into in by end of week. I will replace relay, check wiring and see what happens.

My dash heater on my 2000 Safari Zanzibar is not blowing hot air, anyone have any information on what may be the problem, I checked and the red (hot feed) wire at water valve has power, what a hard spot for water valve location, my generator is at rear of motorhome making it very difficult to get at valve. Also having a problem getting a/c to blow cold.
