2001 Damon Daybreak headlights

I'm new to the site as of a few hours ago and I have been reading posts after posts! What a education I'm getting. Thanks for allowing me to be a member!

I recently purchased a 2001 Damon after dragging a 32 foot pull behind. I'm pretty pumped about the Damon except for the headlights. They are yellow!

I tried to rub them out with 2000 grit sandpaper and I soon realized that the yellow was all the way through the lens. Bummer!

The Damon has a Ford chassis so I went looking for Ford headlights. Trust me I looked for hours at literally thousand of assemblies and no luck.

I looked at the housing for the lamps and noted the part number and went to ebay for another look. The housing is made by TYC. I typed in TYC 20-1832 and received about a 100 hits. The lamps are made for 92-05 Taurus GL,LX and SE models. I found a pair for "new used" and freight free for $49.95!

These can be purchased separate for about $39.00 new freight free.

I hope this will help someone else with a bad case of the yellows
