On the three that I mentioned in the living room and kitchen area Ken, they are all for delivering air flow on mine. I had to replace the blower motor to them is how I know for sure. It mounted on the kitchen slide out wall behind my pull out pantry. It just draws air from behind the couch and cupboard area to supply my three outlets. Each coach is going to be a little different. Sorry that I wasn't much help. Randy

You were a lot of help, you got me looking for the problem, I was surprised to find the discharge and return air registers to be identical in size and looks.
