I am unsure on your furnace, some have an "internal" tstat as well as the one on the wall. Some have the main sensor located really far away. We rented one that had the thermostat sensor near the front windshield and the furnace was located clear in the back bedroom.
You can normally pick up a cheap one from any local hardware store and see if it is the wall one (they have the really cheap ones for under $10, keep it as a "testor") If that fixes the problem then you can invest in a new one, if it doesn't, it may be the internal switch on the furnace itself.
