Even though I'm a Ford fan I prefer the Workhorse chassis.

One thing to consider: Workhorse is no longer in business although many truck service places can still work on the Workhorse chassis for now. The vast majority of modern Class A gas motor homes are probably on Ford F-53 chassis's.

Have had great luck with two Workhorse chassis'. The company is out of business, but I have found most RV service shops, and many truck service shops are very familiar with the Workhorse chassis, and can provide service and repair. Parts are readily available still.

If you ask who makes the better engine, Ford or Chevy, you will start a near religious argument as some folks love one and some the other.. personally I'm NOT a Ford fan.. but leaving that aside.
If you ask who makes the best TRANSMISSION, even Ford tells you "ALLISON".. That is right, Ford's newest transmission is billed as "The Answer To Allison" which tells me even ford thinks the Allison is superior.
Knowing an Allison engineer or two, and having on on MY Workhorse.
I tend to believe Ford on that one.. By the way so does most everyone else.

You MAY gain 1 mpg with the WH over the Ford. The WH may need the brake recall done if hasn't already been performed.

In order to give you objective advice, we would need to know WHICH Workhorse it is built upon. This info would definitely influence my opinion.
