You talking house batteries going dead or chassis battery going dead. If it is the chassis battery you need to install a Trikl-Start to keep them charged while plugged in.

Larry
Well, first off, we need to clarify some things in your question/statement. WHICH set of batteries, house or chassis? Second, you state new "Converter"????? What converter? Your coach should have come with an Inverter/Charger, most likely a Dimensions (brand) 2000 watt one. Are you saying you have replaced that particular unit? You don't say whether you were/are plugged into shore power when all this is happening and, which ever set of batteries you say are going dead, are doing so. And third, the title of the post states "2003" Horizon yet, the title above your actual post, states "2005", which is it?

There IS a battery disconnect switch for the house batteries but, Winne and Itasca did not start installing a disconnect switch for the chassis batteries 'till late '05 or early '06. And that switch is a rotary one at the rear of the coach. The chassis one is most likely on your bank of switches near the passengers right knee, if your coach is laid out the same as our '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the C-7 CAT 330HP. So, we need some better details so we can help you here.
