trailing arms

Not sure about the years, but Roadmaster had problems with trailing arms cracking. A $3000 problem at best. I looked at a 2005 Monaco, and it had a problem so walked away. Google it.

I read a reply that said the 8 air bag chassis was ok and the 4 air bag chassis had the problem. The one I am looking at has 8 air bags.

I have the 2004 Camelot, 38 PST, it is the next longer model. Have been told that the shorter model does have some handling problems on the road. The 8 air bag is on my RV no problems rides very nice.

Thanks rebelone for the reply. The rig I am looking is 36'-6" and the gasser I own is 35' F53 and rides and handles great. Would the 3636PST be the short in the line of Camelot's. Would the engine weight in the rear cause it to handle rough.

Hi
Not sure what the problem was. I met a man last year in an RV park in MN. He had same coach like mine, only shorter model. His problem was that it did not handle very well on the road. I did not get the details as my answer to him was I had no problems my coach handles very well. I have had 2 motor homes prior first was 34 foot with chev gas, next was Winny Vectra 36 foot, cat diesel. Both handled fine. I would test drive it first on a long haul before you decide.
Good Luck

Mike I have the equivalent model as the camelot. I had handling issues from the get go which started with bad tires and wrong ride height. It has improved but still looking for more improvement. I need to get my alignment done next. I would highly suggest taking it for a long test drive to check. Otherwise its a great coach with many upgrades.

Wow, thought the market had dropped on MH's? May we assume you'll be paying much less than "asking" price?

The dealer has had if come up short twice on ebay. This last try came up high bidder at $58,000.00. Dealer asking $82,000.00. Dealer did disclose on the ebay wall seperation and clear coat on front cracking and showed pictures. I think I could get for around $70,000.00 but with replys on handling and the other items I will pass.

Do a search on ebay for the model you are interested in, then on the results page scroll down until you see (on the left) a checkbox for "completed listings". Check that and it will show you what that model has actually sold for. Use that info to get a better price from the dealer.
