The Magna appears to have the Mystique painted stripes - colour changing purple-blue-orange. My favourite.

The pre-emissions Cat would be my preference for power train. And as Mr D states the build quality of the Magna would be better in my opinion as well.

The CC is a well built coach but it looks dated. A purist will know that it's a quality unit that was an upper end coach in it's time but the average observer will look at the split windshield and the drapes for front curtains and pass it off as a 20 year old coach.

The Dutch Star also has a King Sized bed.

Again, for me this would be an incredibly easy decision. Dutch Star all the way.

Thanks.
Either one is going to get remodeled once it's in our possession.
New floors, updated upholstery. Ceiling mirror, lights, fixtures etc..
Knowing that, would you still prefer the DS over the CC?

Go with your gut. I see advantages and disadvantages both ways but both are very nice coaches. The norcold needs to go away but with that being said, you can install whatever you pick out. The split windshield is not as appealing to me as a one piece windshield. The larger engine and tranny combo is appealing to me. I have the cummins ISM with the 4000 series tranny and it is impressive. Which way do the bay doors open, mine are hinged at the top and I don't like that. The tv placement is not ideal in either one but the cc may win there. Does the DS have a tv in front? I would agree with some others that the DS looks newer which it is but if you are going to update that isn't a big deal. Booth vs table and chairs. I really don't care for the wood table in the DS. The stair-step cabinet in the CC behind the driver would have to go away if it was mine and 2 chairs instead of one would fit there nicely with a small built in end table between. These are only no more than my opinion and it really means nothing since you are the one who needs to be comfortable with your decision. I have done a lot of things to our coach to make it the way we want it and it is a 2004 but it sure doesn't look like a 2004 inside. I found a coach before this one that we have, that I thought I just had to have but couldn't get the deal made. They had to have their money in full in 5 days and I needed 10 to get my money out and get flights arranged to get half way across the country to inspect. Then I came across the one we bought which is 3 years older than the other one was but is up 3 or 4 rungs in the Monaco line, I am so glad the other deal didn't work out. I am interested to see what you decide.

The ad for the DS says gas water heat and furnace but I see an exhaust pipe about half way back. Does it have the oasis or a propane furnace?

So you would replace the tile floor in the DS plus take out the booth and sofa and lower the ceiling with mirrors. I’ve never blocked a member before.

You mean 09 Toyota or 04 Lexus but yes you nailed it.

The DS needs almost no remodeling. Heated tile floors (they appear heated at least). Nice leather all around. This coach needs very little updating. The CC needs to be updated front to rear.

They both have low miles. They both ride very good. They will both pull just about anything you want to pull.

Park the coaches side by side and you will really see the difference in how much more modern the DS actually is. Storage bay capacity is more in the DS too. Fuel economy is much better in the DS.

Im not a fan of the TV placement in either rig. If that is a big deal then look for another floorplan.

So...
Maybe I should say it again, differently.
I like hardwood floors better than tile and carpet.
I have my own color of upholstery I prefer as well.
The mirror on the ceiling only lower it by about 1/2 an inch down the center but will increase the light and perception of space.

Is that easier to digest?

Digest yes, understand NO.
Good luck taking the tile up and are you going to cut holes in the mirrors for the ceiling air vents?

Check each one out carefully, think the answer will be obvious.
The Magna was close to $500000 in 2004.

Actually no, it's not. Each of those "upgrades" will reduce the value and appeal of the DS. They may help the Magna though.

If you're going to do all that you might as well get the Magna. It needs upgrading, the DS does not.

I am curious what kind of "hardwood" you're planning on for your coach?

I won't be doing anything myself.
I'll be having a local company that does RV remodels handle the work.
That is why I am buying a $120k coach with good bones. So I can spend another $30-40k on the interior
