2004 Onan generator wont turn over.

First off i would like to thank those that replied to my earlier post, as you will have guessed I am new to this. My motorhome is a 30 ft 2004 Holiday Rambler Admiral with a 2004 Onan MicroQuite 4000 generator, which I have owned for 12 months. The generator started and ran fine 2 weeks ago. When I tried to start it over the weekend all I am getting is a clicking from the starter solenoid. I charged the house and coach batteries, and I've cleaned and tightend all leads on batteries and generator. I have tried jumping out the solenoid but the starter motor didn't make a sound. I suspect maybe a bad connection on the starter motor or maybe a bad ground in the generator. I am going to try and remove the generator cover tomorrow and get to the starter motor. The generator only has 40 hours running time. Thanks once again.

That generator has a ground on the front side. I would bet that it is either loose or corroded. Hard to get to but needs to be checked

Just as a follow up to my thread Onan generator wont turn over. I removed cover from generator and cleaned all connections. Still wouldn't turn over. I checked power was getting to starter motor. Was ok. Removed starter motor and connected to battery. Turned over fine. Cleaned mating surfaces and cleaned mounting bolts. Refitted motor using dielectric grease on bolts.Generator is turning over and running fine now. Thanks to all that answered my thread.
