2005 Fleetwood Bounder Workhorse Shocks

Can anyone help me with specific part numbers? Looking to replace the OEM Bilstein shocks. I have received different answers from various sources on which shocks to use. The RV is listed as a 2005 but the manufacture date is 2004. Can anyone help please?
Workhorse VIN: 5B4MP67G453398909
OEM Bilstein front shock W00005662
OEM Bilstein rear shock W0005663

I would like to know both the replacement Bilstein parts & Koni parts. Thank you

Your chassis vin # indicates you have a 2005 model year chassis. One of the best experts on workhorse parts is: www.ultrarvproducts.com a sponsor here on iRV2. Visit their website or call to get accurate info on which shocks fit your chassis.

I think they can sell you either brand, but everything I've read says the Koni shocks are the way to go, but they are expensive.

agree on Ultrarv guys. I just replaced billstein with Koni. Well worth the money. They are double action vs single action. $160 each

Thanks for the ultrarvproducts.com tip but I had actually already talked to someone there and they ended up being just as confused. I called Bilstein & Koni directly too! No solution from any of those calls! So my husband ended up taking our current shocks off for inspection & that helped us figure out that although our workhorse was manufactured in 2004 (July) it is indeed a 2005 model. The rear shocks are very different between the 2004 & 2005 chassis. So for anyone else having the same problem some 2004 build dates were upgraded to the 2005 chassis!
Here are the part numbers for shocks for the 2005 W22 workhorse chassis if this can save anyone else the research time...

OEM workhorse-- front: W0005662 rear: W0005663

Bilstein-- front: 24-153249 rear: 24-153256
Koni-- front: 8805 1001 rear: 8805 1002

Thanks for the advice! I think we're going with the Koni also. Do you think we'll need to add an aftermarket stabilizer with the Koni? Looking at the safe-t-plus?

We have a 2005 Bounder on a Workhorse W20 chassis.
I bought my OEM Bilsteins at the Shock Warehouse. Bilstein - KYB - Rancho - Monroe - Edelbrock Automotive Truck Shocks and Struts - Shockwarehouse.com
They had the best price and they also sell Koni shocks.
Excellent service.

I also have a 2005 W20 and wonder if your Bilstiens improved the ride and would you recommend. Thanks.
