Anybody know why there would be heat coming out of my engine compartment when I haven't been running the motor ?

A block heater plugged in ? Used for keeping the engine warm in winter.

Yeap, the electric block heater is on. Look for a switch, or maybe a cord plugged into an outlet near the back somewhere. Until you find it, you can unplug from shore power to see if it stops (takes awhile to cool down, though).

On ours, the engine block heater plugs in in the electrical compartment at the left rear near the inverter. It's controlled by a GFI breaker on the forward side of the bed.
