2005 Itasca Suncruiser water leak

We have a water leak when it rains on the front passenger side. The wet area is in the wall behind the electric and 6 volt outlet. The fiber board was swollen and when we removed the outlet it was wet. We have spent a bucket of $$ and have tried to find the culprit. Does anyone else know about this problem and the solution? Welcome to the forum.

Is it under the window? If so search this forum for posts about leaking window gaskets, it seems this is a pretty common problem.

leaking 2005 itasca suncruiser

The leak is not coming from any part of the window which makes it so much harder to find. It goes down the wall on the passenger side and we found it when the particle board behind the electic outlet panel was swollen.

My 99 Itasca Sunflyer leaked at the front passenger window. Over time the window seal can go bad. On mine the A/C and rain would run down the middle of the window & I guess over time the seal deteriorated. I had to rip the interior wall out around the window. Mine didn't have a frame around the window for the frame to screw to so I had to get some hardwood, and plane it to the right thickness and epoxy it from the inside to the fiberglass clamping it in place. Then I re-installed the window and installed some styrofoam insulation and white wallboard to finish.

I have an 04 Suncruiser. We haven't had a leak yet but during our first winter (2010) we had a big crack in the windshield on the driver's side. When we got it replaced the repair fellow told us there was a significant amount of rust up over the windows in the framing. We haven't had it fixed yet and the window seals are good so no leaking but I was wondering if this isn't something you might consider in trying to diagnose the orgin of your leak. Best of luck.
