)After changing the fuel filter and clearing the codes three times and filling tank with new gas, no "check engine light" even , after driving 300 miles. Seems back to normal..

Can ysomeone tell me how often spark plugs should be changed. I bought coach with 27, 000 miles on it and now have 40, 000??

Hope you will have no more fuel-related issues. GM claims those are 100,000 mile plugs as OE. The only time I ever changed mine was at ~ 70,000 miles.

Many also believe you should replace the SP wires too, when you are replacing the plugs.

YES, I confess, those ugly looking plugs were MY OEM plugs in a 2003 KSCA 8.1L. As bad as they look, the engine was still running fine but I figured it might be time to change after 70K.

Dale is the expert who changed them out for me, and he also replaced the SP wires while he was struggling mightily to get them out.

I believe Dale's website shows the "new" numbers for the correct replacement plugs. Check it out at:Oemy's Web Site -
