2006 Allegro Open Road Workhorse W22

My 06 Allegro Open Road with a W22 Workhorse Chassis has a serious steering problem. I was told that it needs an intermediate steering shaft Workhorse Part No. W0000450. I have searched many sites and made many phone calls only to find out that Workhorse is out of business and the part is not available. Does anyone out there have the part? Or what complete steering assembly will fit (from the steering box to the steering wheel). I was told that the part was a recall in 2006. I would appreciate any help.

Hey biggreen why not try the Workhorse Chassis Forum; Workhorse only forum... Also might Google Workhorse dealers AND RV salvage yards...

If you haven't already contacted Ultrarvproducts I suggest you add them to your search.
They list your item as discontinued but my guess is they will have alternatives or point you in the right direction.

Dig around a bit more. I think there was a fix/mod for the existing shaft. Also, get a Mod to move this to the Workhorse sub forum....more expert exposure there.
