Unhappy 2007 Fleetwood Bounder Diesel slide operation

We just purchased a used Fleetwood Bounder diesel (38') with three slides. When we got it home we wanted to put the slides out and admire it for a bit, but when we went to put the slides back in all three slides seemed to stutter before retracting all the way. Almost as if a kid kept tapping the button? At first i thought it was because the batteries were low, so i started up the gen and it was running for quite some time and i tried the process over again and it still stuttered a few times? Has anyone else had this problem?? If so, what the heck is it? Please help!?

Did you check the batteries to see if they are ok? Even with the genset running or plugged into shore powere , the slides are working off of the batteries. Just a guess.

We have a 2008 Bounder. I always have the engine running when putting the jacks down and when moving the slides. Those motors draw a lot of current.

Was the MH level when you moved the slides?

The Bounder has a flat floor. The slides have to go up to go down. Mine shutters abit as it raises to go in or out. Peace and safe Travels....

I suggest you hold your foot on the gas and let your batteries charge up for five or ten minutes and then try your slides. If they go in faster, I would charge the batteries several hours with a battery charger . If the batteries are stronger, your problem is solved. Since your coach is new to you, Your connectors may need a thorough cleaning which will improve your charging cycles.
