2007 National Dolphin

I am going to look at a 2007 National Dolphin 5355 with 24000 miles, v10 either later today or tomorrow. I would appreciate any input good or bad about this model to help in my decision. Thank you.

National is out of business. If you have a collision with it you are screwed as there are no body parts available.

Previous comment not withstanding, we have looked at a few Dolphins. Mostly the 2006-2008. Not quite ready to do anything, but IMO I think the National Dolphin would be at the top of our list for gasser MH's and should be available in the $60-$75K range. Does not bother me that they were a victim of the 2008 crash.

Another interesting coach is the CT Coachworks. Full size appliances and seemingly well built. Good luck on your search.

Body. Parts are available. I just purchased a new front cap for a 2006 sea breeze. Lead time is 5 weeks after ordering. Ortega manufacturing in Hemet California has the molds.

I have had 4 class "C"s and 3 class "A"s. All gassers. My National is far better quality and driveability than any of the others. Your opinion my vary.

If you go to the National RV Owners Forum here on iRV2 and the National RV Forum on Yahoo Groups, which has over 3,000 members, you will find hundreds of very happy National RV owners. As rvmike said body parts are available from Ortega manufacturing. As for other items National used the same heaters, water heater, refrigerator, AC's and other appliances as all the other manufacturers did.
