Has anyone put a SMART car in the cargo area(garage)of this RV

Dimensionally and weight wise, it would appear to be just fine. after all, they put three Harleys in there. weigh more than a Smart car.

My concern is with the tailgate/ramp.

Any information would be greatly appreciated>

Due to the low clearance of the car, I would only be concerned about the transition from ground to ramp and from ramp to floor of garage. You may be able to use the front jacks to lift the front end enough to help this angle or an additional ramp would be necessary. Hopefully one of our members has accomplished this and can comment on the process.

Welcome cal outlaw. Congrats on owning the best OTL vintage. The ramp is fine for supporting the Smart for entering and exiting the garage. A better question to know is if you have the Workhorse chassis (24000 lbs) or the Ford (only 22,000 lbs.)

Why don't you post where all the OTL owners hang out, you'll get much better response.

Jeff is totally correct....except the 2007 is actually the best vintage

...only kidding.

And I will add that the ramp is no problem for the Smart FourTwo with plenty of weight capacity and the rear section of the garage floor is tapered down, which lowers the angle of the cross-over at the top of the ramp.

The only thing an owner needs to do is decide on tie downs. The Generation One Outlaws - 2007-2013 (models 3611 3612, and 3808) did not have tie-downs installed by the factory...this allowed owners to put the included E-Tracks where they wanted.

You can buy E-Track and L-Track from several places as desired...including Harbor Freight...to make it how you like.
