2008 Winnebago Vogage 35'

I'm looking at a used 2008 with only 11000 miles. Are there any things I should be aware of regarding this model. From my first inspection I can say it is in excellent condition. I didn't find anything that jumped out. So if anyone can offer any wisdom it would be greatly appreciated

The first thing to check is the date codes on the tires, and if they the original tires, they need replaced.

The first thing to check on any Winnebago is the windshield for any signs of leaking water into the motorhome. Look for water stains on the windshield curtains. Look for small rust particles on the front dash. Look at the top interior molding along the windshield for water stains. By looking thru the access holes in the rear of the upper cabinets you maybe able to see the area behind the front cap. Look for rust on the windshield’s metal frame. It will probably take a flashlight and a couple of small mirrors to see enough.

The second thing to look for is the condition of the caulking between the roof and rain gutter (J molding). Inspect the entire length of the motor home on both sides. Inspection involves pushing on the fiberglass roof and looking to see if the caulk is adhered to both the fiberglass roof and the rain gutter. This item is part of your annual maintenance.

If yours is on a Workhorse chassis, call Workhorse with the VIN to see if the brake recall was needed and was done. Don’t depend on the seller to do this.

You will find many threads on these problems in the Winnebago section of this forum.
