2010 Allegro Bay Ford V10 towing car

When towing my car is it better to engage the tow option even though i'm towing on Interstate which is mostly level? which would give me the best fuel MPH?

The tow haul function will cost you 1-1 1/2 miles per gallon. I confirmed this with Ford after I was getting this reduction in my MPG. I now only use it up and down steep grades and city driving.
