2010 fleetwood terra wheel simulator removal

I want to install a set of air valve extenders on my new Fleetwood Terra 36T on the GM workhorse W24 chassis. First of all, I need to remove the wheel simulators. Each one has only one cap that has a dimple on it. Does it pull straight of, or does it unscrew? Is that the only that needs to be removed or do they all need to come off? I unscrewed one from the front wheel but I didn't try to pry off the insert. I can't get the cap with the dimple on the rear to move at all. Does it come straight off or does it unscrew? Does only one need to come off? Can someone help me with this?

The dimpled nut covers should just unscrew, there are two of them per wheel and if you knock on the covers you will feel/hear which ones unscrew. Once you find one the other is 180 degrees from it.

I have installed dozens of these. The prev. post was correct. the two nuts are 180 deg. apart. If a air tool was used to install, it will be tight. Two words of caution from an old ser. mgr. 1 the ends of the ext. are made of brass. (then chrome plated) when installed, they must be securely tight. If you overtighten they will split. If loose they will leak. I always tightened them hand tight. then took a pair of pliers and went 1/2 turn more. 2 before you screw them on, Put a small amount of locktight on the threads. (be careful not to get it in the valve core)

Thank you for helping me with this. I tried it and it it worked. There are two nut covers that have small dimples on them and they are located 180 degrees from each other. They do not just pry off. The covers actually unscrew because they are attached to the jamb nut under them. These removeable nuts are 1 5/8". The other nuts are smaller at 1 1/2" each. Once you unscrew the larger jamb nuts, the covers will come off.
