I sure I hope I'm making the right decision. The truth is I really wont know until I'm on the road pulling the trailer on hills and canyon roads. I just can only hope i dont have problems with the EGR. I pray I dont have any problems.
Having basically the same coach for the last year with 10,000 miles on it. I will offer a couple of comments...
I have not had any issues with the EGR. I pull a 7000lb trailer over some steep roads and have no power problems. Just to get to my house I go up a street that is way steeper than many boat launch ramps.
Make sure the engine's ECM has the current update (Campaign 12913 from June 2012). It is not displayed anywhere, it has to be accessed via a computer or maybe it shows up in the International system database like mine does now. Just don't take their word for it.
Check threads in the Monaco Forum on this site concerning 2012 Monaco Knight (basically the same as the Ambassador.) See if any of the issues pertain to your coach.
