2015 Canyon Star 3915

We are just before biting the bullet on a 2015 Canyon Star 3915. It seems to have everything we want and more plus it is gas which is a definite plus for us. Would like to hear others opinion of this coach.

I don't see a 3915 model for Newmar, though it's probably close to their 3914 for 2015...
I would also check out the Thor CHALLENGER if you like a gas unit

Suggest you spend some time in the Newmar owners forum here on iRV2, where there is also a Ford chassis owner forum.

IMO, Newmar builds a superior coach, even their gassers are quality that lasts. Be sure to get the biggest GVWR rated chassis they offer it on.

My goodness! Despite formerly being a technology teacher I must not be able to type! It's a 3953 model. Sorry for the confusion.

We bought a 3911 in 2013 and couldn't be more pleased with the unit. Extremely pleased with Newmar's Customer Service. Ford chassis is bullet proof! Go for it!

Thanks everyone. I think weather permitting we'll be making a purchase this week. Scary and exciting at the same time.

Gauke,

We have the 2013 model of the Canyon Star 3953....and we love it!! The floorplan is exactly what we were searching for in a motorhome. The two items that you will need to "fix" are the mirrors in the bathrooms. If left alone, they will swing open during travel and possibly break. I use a simple rubberized wire across the mirrors connected at the sides to stick-on clear plastic hooks. Other than this, our CS has been great.... and Newmar has been terrific in answering my "new owner" panics....LOL

Take care and safe travels.

We did a factory order on a new 2014 Canyon Star 3953. We went to the factory to see the build process and it was a great experience. Our previous motorhome was 2008 Damon on a 20,500 lb. chassis. What a big difference in ride and how quiet it is. It took us two years to decide on this model and we are very pleased with it. Newmar is a great company to deal with. It has been a long learning experience. Are you buying a stock unit or going to do a factory order. You can PM me on any questions you may have. I would be glad share what I have learned on this Canyon Star. Good luck on your decision.
