2015 Holiday Rambler Vacationer Dometic Ref Problems

We have been having problems with our Dometic Refrigerator since buying our new RV in November 2014. When it is on propane it seems to work fine most of the time, but when we plug in the temperature rises sometimes (cool & hot temps)!! It has been taken back to the Dealer several times and each time they tell me they cannot duplicate the problem and so they can't fix it!! At times when plugged in it works fine and other times it rises up to 52 degrees. Dometic suggested to put a deflector in to help keep out the heat but that did not work. The RV is back at the Dealer this week and I told them to get tech support from Dometic to come out and look see what they can do about fixing the problem or get me a new refrigerator. Has anyone had this problem with a Dometic Refrigerator?

Yes I am having the same problem. It seems to ice up on the freezer side when this happens. I will be watching to see if they fine the problem. Keep in touch. Thanks.

The single thing that helped us with our recent Dometic was making sure the door latches securely. Last trip to the factory service center they replaced the door latches and the temps went down considerably in the fridge.

Problems with our Dometic Ref etc.

After the 3rd trip back to Giant RV to fix our Dometic Ref they finally replaced it and right now everything is working fine. Dometic has a two year warranty from time of purchase.
New issue that came up on our last trip out was we were losing 1/3 of our water after having a full tank while driving. Problem was corrected by replacing the hoses with bigger hoses.
Our RV is a HR 2015 Vacationer
Other problems were:
Dash cab air stopped working....had to be replaced
Cab radio stopped working has to be replaced.
Outside radio would come on by itself draining battery
Battery disconnect was never connected and was draining battery in storage.
Heater vent in small bathroom was never connected
Shower had a crack....shower door lock fell apart
Captain passenger chair arm was not level
black tank level always showed 1/3 full....had to order part.
3M mask bubbled on front end
Lots of over spray on the RV
Dinette table not level
Our new 2015 was in the shop for over 10 weeks in the 1st year!!!!!
Love the floor plan, and hopefully all the issues have been taken care of since the warranty is up and I just bought a 7 year extended warranty!!
