You should probably go search that but it's an engine tune that you load into the computer (via a supplied adapter) that will first download the existing engine management tune to the device then upload the 5-Star tune to the computer. It will give better shift points, more HP and more torque to you while driving.

The 5 star is beneficial to the 5 speed tranny . Your 6 sp may not require it.
The 6 sp trans is a game changer.

Thank you ThomB! I've also added a link below that will showcase the changes we've made to the 6-speed trans as well. Tune transmission part of our tune has been a game changer for the 5-speed, 6-speed and 10-speed transmissions.

5-Star Tune

I have the older Ford V-10, 2V, it really woke up the performance for both acceleration and transmission shifting. I recently completed a 2500 mile trip, the first 500 miles without the tune installed and the remainder of the trip with the SCT Livewire unit and the program for my motorhome. WOW, I was amazed to say the least. My 2000 Bounder drove like a different motorhome. It accelerated from a stop much quicker and would pull longer on upgrades. Much driving in the mountains of VA, NC, SC, TN, and WV. I can't speak for the performance with the newer 3V engines, however, I know what Mike has done for my motorhome was worth it!!!

I have 2015 Precept 36UN, I installed the 5 star tuning in April, so far have driven about 1,400 miles, what a big difference, Once you learn how to drive with it going uphill it's fantastic, My experience has been when climbing a hill/mountain once you notice a slight loss of speed, give it a little pedal, the coach will either stay in the gear she's in and start accelerating or down shift 1 gear then accelerate, no more of that crazy 2 gear downshift and the roar of the V10. This is with Cruise control on, Tow Haul mode and towing. Looking forward to the big test in 12 days when we do a r/t NJ to Yellowstone. But so far no regrets at all love it, and the additional get up and go at the start and merging is nice. I also gained about .5 MPG. since I am not towing to Yellowstone it will be interesting to see the MPG difference. I highly recommend 5 Star Tuning.

Ransil,
I would suggest you look for their website and find a phone number and email there. Very customer service oriented. They may not see your question here. 🚍🤠

Send us an email with your name and device serial number. More than likely an update given that timeframe. We like to continually nitpick and make improvements.

Hi Mike! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

That sounds like the name of a service company instead of a procedure! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
