I am fulltime and get my DP done for an annual average of $230. My pals that fulltime with gassers and equal miles spend a bit under $100. $130 a year is not by itself a valid "no diesel" argument, IMHO.

I just had a full synthetic oil change done on my 2010 Four Winds Hurricane with the V10 engine at Camping World in Houghton Lake, MI for approx. $80.00.

Norm

That is a good price for a synthetic oil change!

I should have clarified that my DP service included a check of all fluids including differential etc plus pumping grease into the zerks on a 42 ft with tag. Just want to keep my $230 in perspective.

Maybe they are including a 55 gallon drum of KY for that price. Maybe dinner and a kiss first too I hope. LOL

Norm, you beat me to it. I also think you could go to a Ford (big) truck dealer for under $100.00
I did my own maintenance this year for under $150.00. That includes 5 gal MObil 1 5-40 turbo diesel oil and filters This includes the 7.5 generator.
I will put the other $450 in the tank.

X2, just did my DP 360 cummins. $224.00 at Speedco. Oil & filter change, check all fluids, grease. In and out in an hour. Great service.

Second try. I'm still learning to navigate this site. I was half done and all of a sudden my message went to the OZONE somewhere. Anyway.
03 NEWMAR DUTCH STAR w/350 Cummins and Quiet Diesel Generator 7500.
Purchased October 2011 and oil change was done by Capital RV, Bismarck, ND then.
First oil change was just over $1000. 10/2012 by Powertrain, Belgrade, MT.
Oil change (6 gals Rotella T) plus oil filter, fuel filter and coolant filter. No way of knowing when/if some were done. Air filter was not done as they said it cost over $400. On our way to Texas I ordered an air filter from RVCHASSISPARTS.COM for $108.00 and changed it myself.
Also 2 filters/gaskets/O rings on transmission plus 5 qts replacement fluid at $14.35 qt.
Also oil and filter change on generator 3 qts Rotella T plus air and fuel filter. We also checked out "check engine maint required lights" that came on as I drove out there to get this work done.
Everything turned out well except the sticker shock I suffered from.

Second oil/filter/lube (engine only) 3/27/14 at Lube Master in Alamo, TX.
$142.29.
There's my 2 cents worth.
Ed

This is an old thread but this is my suggestion. A 2014 Ford chassis qualifies for the FORD maintenance plan. You can choose 5000 or 7500 mile oil change interval. For less than $2000 you will get, for example, 7 years of coverage and/or 75000 miles ALL of your OIL CHANGES and replacement of brake linings, rotors, transmission fluid changes, new shocks if they require and all lubrication. That's right, things that wear out are covered. My price here is $1745 for 5000 mile interval and $1910 for 7500 mile interval. For some reason it does not cover the every two year brake fluid change (in your manual). This is not the POWERTRAIN plans. It is hard to find anyone who can get this plan straight. Most dealers are clueless for these chassis. My two cents.

You don't even have to pay up front. 21 months interest free (if I remember right, too much burgundy).

Do not attempt to get this plan online. You will fail and the system will not give you a price.

I had to go to Campingworld off I35W south of Fort Worth yesterday and according to the price board in service a gas RV oil change was $68.00. Now there may be some add ons disposal shop rags ect but still not as bad as $600.00 with add ons.

No offense but that's the sucker price!

I just had my DP in for service at a Freightliner service center in Georgia last Wednesday for LOF and it was just under $350. About 5 gallons of oil, oil filter, fuel filter, lube, an air filter about the size of a 5 gallon bucket and a diagnostic computer check.

Just had Cummins Onan in Elkhart, IN do the generator service today for $75

Hopefully the OP doesn't get taken advantage of and follows the great advise of the others who said the price was ridiculous.
