I confess, I jumped to the end of the thread but, having just been to the Coburg facility, I have the following to add.

Under the new management for Monaco etc., this facility will be a regional service centre for both Monaco and Fleetwood products. It's a good shop right now at least for Monaco, since there remains a lot of resident experience. They will undoubtedly learn the Fleetwood part as time goes on. With the addition of the Fleetwood maintenance, they are going to get very busy. Their prices are high...$120/hr for motorhome work. Their engine/chassis service prices are really high. A local "in the know" waved me off and the local International dealer did a oil/fuel/chassis lube for about $200 less than the Monaco service centre ($260 vs close to $500).

Bottom line, if the coach needs work these are the folks to see, but shop around for routine service.

$260 is still silly money to do oil change on a V10. Camping world not known for their low prices was $65.00.

I don't see a follow up, so I can only assume you went ahead and spent the money. I certainly hope not. I just took delivery on a 2014 Fleetwood with a V10. This morning, I was heading to the local Ford dealer for a run through the quick lube for $59 with 1/2 synthetic. A little more for full synthetic. I also got on my creeper and took a look under the MH to see where the filter and drain plug is located. To my surprise, it's very accessible. I used to do all my own oil changes in my garage, until I got lazy and didn't want to deal with old used oil. Now my garbage company takes it away in special containers they provide. The only thing the oil drain plug is right above the frame cross member, which will cause a mess unless I rig up a way to direct the flow of oil into the catch pan. No big deal. Bottom line even at $59 I think I can do it cheaper myself. So I hope you didn't pay that amount.

Dave,
Get a Futomo quick change valve and make the oil changes a clean simpler job. It will cost you about $25 for the valve but you can put a clear plastic hose on it and drain into jugs with little to no mess. Also since it set behind the axle very little worry of hitting something that might break it off. I mention that only because some have indicated that they didn't want to take a chance of losing all their oil if it did get knocked off.

They were off by a digit or factor of 10. That's CRAZY - and would be illegal in some states.

Changing the oil in Class-C V10 isn't any different than changing the old on an F-250 or F-350 with the same motor. It can be challenging finding a bay that will fit a motor home. They should be the same price.

I hope the OP didn't pay that and the quote was a mistake.

I most major cities (and some campgrounds) you can have someone perform this service at home or at your campsite. It'll be under $100 for sure.

READ my post The guy has a DIESEL not a V10 THE quote from MONACO was for A DIESEL not a V10 !!!

OK, I'm back from the local Ford dealer's Quick Lane. Performed oil and filter change using a synthetic blend. Preformed multi point inspection, tires, batteries, belts and brakes. Total was $30 labor and $30 dollars for parts. Total with waste disposal $62.56. If I want, I can get on my back in the street and save $30. Chances are I wouldn't look at everything they do. Honestly, I have spent more on some of my cars at Jiffy Lube.
