6500 Watt Onan keeps stalling out

Just encountered a problem with the above mentioned generator stalling out. I have changed oil, filter, air cleaner. Fuel filter doesn't have 1000 miles on it. Batteries are reading 12.5 or higher. Will stop without a load in about 30 minutes, but, starts back up immediately. Put air on different story, stalls immediately. Any ideas out there please?

Does your generator blink an error code when it stops? What you're describing could be due to overheating, check that the cooling system is operating properly, no blocked vents or bad fan belts. It also could be a weak or failing fuel pump. It's a low pressure electric fuel pump, replace only with the proper type, not a generic electric fuel pump.

Don't know where to look for error codes. I believe you hit it on the fuel pump, after i posted the gen wouldn't start anymore, so i disconnected fuel line to carb and cranked it. No gas. Thanks for the reply.

The error codes would show as the LED on the start/stop switch blinking after shut down. Check the manual for your Onan model to see if it gives codes and what they stand for.

I just went through a similar issue. Try changing your fuel pump.
