8.0 kw Onan Generator diesel fuel leak

Have a diesel fuel leak on my 8 kw Onan generator. RV is a 2005 Beaver Monterey diesel pusher. generator is on a front slide and the fuel is leaking between the fuel tank and the generator. Can anyone refer me to a diagram of what I will find under there, or who has had this or a similar problem. Of course I am at work in a remote site until July 31st and the wife is home alone trying to deal with this problem herself.

Hello and We are glad to have you join us and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. I am sure you will enjoy our website and forums. Good luck stay safe and keep us posted.
You probably have a bad fuel line; cut or loose fitting. Put the generator out, crawl under with a good flashlight and some rags. Look for a drip on the fuel lines; there are two, one supply and one return. If someone can push and hold the "stop" switch down while you are under there, it will cause the pump to run and help you find the leak. You may be able to cut out the bad spot and install a coupler or tighten a loose connection to stop the leaking.

Coldcowboy - We too noticed a small pool of diesel fuel every time we'd park, seemed a little worse if we had used the genet. I pulled the genet slide out and immediately noticed the fuel line was wet. Ours turned out to be nothing more that a poorly fitting clamp. I replaced with a more robust clamp and have not had an issue since. With the Genset on the slide out, ours was very easy to address - 10 minutes. Hope yours is as simple - especially since you're managing "remotely".
