'81 Pace Arrow chassis

I'm trying to find out who the chassis mfg. was for a 28 ft. !981 Pace Arrow. It has a 440 so I'm pretty sure it was Chrysler. What I'm having trouble finding is the model no. of the chassis. It has a sticking front brake caliper and I need this info to get the right one. Thanks in advance for any info.

Pretty sure you have a Ford Chassis.

Surprised !!

That came as quite a surprise. I would have never thought of Ford with it being a Chrysler 440 with a TF-727. I guess my next step is trying to find out how to tell which Ford chassis it is.

Mmm, my mistake, I read 440 and thought 460.

On reflection, I don't think Fleetwood originally used anything but the Chevy 454 or a 6.2 liter diesel in those early 1980's. I've never heard of any MH manufacturer of the era using a Chrysler product, so I'd suspect you have a replacement engine and trans.

Why don't you ask on the vintage forum?

Due to the fact that these set for long periods of non use whenever I bought an older one I always removed the calipers and re-greased the pins. I never did have one stick prior to moving to a DP. Also because brake fluid will absorb moisture I used to flush all the lines with new fluid so when they got hot it would not develop steam in the lines. Can't help you with your chassis info though.

It helped a great deal. It is a Dodge M-400 made in '79. Thanks everyone for guiding me in the right direction.
