85 pace arrow airbags

Recently purchased an 85 Fleetwood Pace Arrow. It has airbags on all 4 corners. The rear bags seem to hold air, the fronts are blown out. How much of an improvement in ride or driving quality is there with the bags inflated ?

If this is a chevy chassis, you MUST have the aibags in the springs. The coil springs are not rated to carry the load without the airbags. It will also improve the ride.

ga travler is correct. Driving without the airbags will allow the front suspension to collapse and upset the geometry causing excessive tire wear and poor handling.
Firestone replacement bags are around $100. for the complete kit and come with a lifetime replacemet warranty.

Here is a somewhat recent thread about replacing air bags for front coil suspension.
And yes they are necessary on P-30, p-32 chassis.

Coil rite for 86 p30 was about 90.00 for both front. I just replaced mine last week very simple job to do took about 2 hours. The worse part was cutting the old ones out. Just wrap them up with zip ties and thru the hole they will with a little help of a tire iron.
