9.3L MAXFORCE 10 with350hp &1150lb-ft

Does any body have one of these engines or knows about? they have 350hp and1150lb ft of torque and a Cummings has 458hp and only 1250lb-ft
Who makes the MaxForce and what do you need to look out for with one of these diesels, how is the power, reliability, mileage

Thank You

International trucks makes the Maxx Force engine. The Maxx Force is a new engine design, so it will take a while to get the bugs worked out. Your service for that engine will be at International truck dealers I would imagine, and serviceing M/H's will be new to them. I would look toward Cummings engines. IMHO International engines, motorhomes, and International dealerships are not going to get along well togather.

I have a gulfstream with international motor, I had to take in for service, call ahead, some dealers are trained on Motorhomes, some not, also mechanics raved about maxx Force motors, but again they are new, service writer told me cummins was better choice for now because of the newness, conflicting stories at same dealer.

The only thing new about the engines is they are new to motorhomes. The engines have been around for years. They have one of the best reputations in the world for good engines. Been used in the trucking industry since trucks existed. Plus on the newer engines unlike Cummins they don't require the new after exhaust emissions fluid.

Had a 08 cummings 425 that was recalled because of catastrophic failures that they tried to sidestep and do a detune procedure to negate failures. No thanks to cummins. Now have a ford class c v10 and loving it. jim w
