93 Brave-19 volts after charge?

Coach battery was dead so I charged for 8 hours with a brand new Optima battery charger. Checked the battery (only one for now while I am repairing) and the battery read 19 volts? Checked the two presumed charging studs off of the converter and they also read 19 volts? Is it even possible to charge a 12 volt battery to 19 volts? I am going to borrow another meter to double check.
Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Was the battery hot?

A lot of battery chargers are unregulated and should not be left on. Plug it it in and see how many volts it reads, not hooked to the battery.

Double check your meter too.
