97 georgie boy pursuit

Hey guys, I'm looking at buying this. It has a ford engine and 58k miles. I drove it, everything felt great. Only thing I couldn't check was the hot water heater. The guy says a dirt dobber got in there and must've shorted something out. Anyone know about this model and any problems?

Thanks

The Ford chassis of that vintage was pretty strong, except stock exhaust manifolds were known to overheat and crack.
The fuel pump was redesigned mid year 1997. Before that they were prone to failure.
The 1997 Ford chassis was rated at 17,000 lbs GVWR, if the unit has a slide out it won't have much payload leftover for cargo. Georgie Boy is somewhat of an entry line coach, but if it suits your needs that's all that matters.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks. How can I tell which 97 fuel injector it has? It's a starter, 1st one, no slide outs.

The newer style fuel pump was put into production sometime after June 1997. You would need to check the chassis build date. Don't let that be the deciding factor, the fuel pump may have already been replaced if it's the older style. If it ever does need the pump replaced you can update it to the newer style. It's inside the fuel tank.

i had a 98 with the 454 chevy, and it was a great unit. it was one of the units built by georgieboy before coachman bought the company, and i think they were built better before coachman took over. we put 80k on it with very few problems
