I've been trying to figure out how to access the grey and black water tanks on my Southwind (P30). I can see them in the back of the basement between the rear wheels but it's a closed compartment and the basement is too short for me to crawl back there. No access from the water compartment as the drain lines go inboard and around a corner and it's too narrow to fit into. Does anyone know how to get access to the tanks? I was thinking of removing the polyurethane liner in one of the adjacent basement compartments but it appears to be metal with no access panels behind it. On the street side the LP tank is in the same area so there's nothing to remove to access the area. I thought maybe there may be an access panel under the carpeting somewhere inside but couldn't find one, even after removing the dresser drawers.

There is a strong possibility that there was no access provided short of dis assembly.They were probably installed during construction of the RV and since they rarely need removal, particularly when well supported, many manufacturers give little or no consideration to such access.

The prior poster is probably correct. you probably need to cut your floor just above the tank. My fresh water tank is not accessable.
I also wondered about access to my black and grey tanks on my '97 F53. I can also see them and their sensors from the rear basement utility compartment, but there is little chance of working on them. Then I noticed on my RV that there is a metal panel between the frame rails that can be unbolted for access to the wiring. I'd have to cut the floor too if anything major went wrong. Maybe you can cut that panel, if you have it (my rig is 34' with a BIG empty space between the rails after the panel) and gain working access without tearing-up the house inside.

The fuel tank is in the way of any access from the bottom, I can't see above it but I guess it's possible that there's an access above the fuel tank somewhere.
