99 DSDP Air leak Spartan Chassis

Hi, I have a 99 Dutch Star. New to me a few weeks ago and it has a leak at a valve that is mounted between the two air tanks at rear of tanks.
It is leaking out of the vent on the bottom of the valve only when park brake is off. As soon a I set the park (spring) brake it stops.
I think the valve is the spring brake valve but do not know for sure.
I tested the rear brake chambers to see if they are leaking through and they are not.
I am a Ford tech but have very little experience with air brakes.
Can anyone confirm what this valve is ?
Thanks Gord

Not sure if Spartan was consistent on their air plumbing back then but on my 2002 red lines are front brake system green was rear brake system and orange is the parking brake system.
Hard to tell for sure if the lines are red or orange in your pictures.

Probably a relay valve for the parking brakes.

The small line comes from the dash control. The large lines send tank air, to the spring brake chambers, when the parking brake is OFF.( released )

Like a relay ( solenoid ) in an electrical system. small wire, to close contacts, on big cables.

Thanks for the replies guys. Having a better look and paying attention to hose colour
it has to be spring brake valve. Has Green going in one port,Red going in other and orange in and out.
Hope we get all these bugs worked out soon it has become a second job for me.
At least its interesting work though.

How did you verify brake chambers are ok?

I would remove the service air lines and release the parking brakes... see if any air comes out of the chambers fitting. There is an internal seal that can fail..

With the E Brake on (chamber pressurized) I pulled the service brake hose off both rear chambers and check for leak coming out of chamber.
