99 Dutch Star roof ac problem

Does anyone have knowledge or experience with a blinking heater/ac control panel? I have a 99 dutch star 3865 with two roof mounted ac units. They both work when the control panel isn't blinking. My local dealer said they could fix it for $1400 and told me the control panel will need to be upgraded to a newer design. I would appreciate any help, thanks, bill

There are people who fix the 4 button unit. You will have to do a search.
Called Dometic 4 comfort system
Or you can upgrade to a newer 5 button system which includes two new control boxes for the AC units and a new 5 button control unit.
Parts should run you under $600 and easy install if your handy.

Other than the 120 volt wiring it's a plug and play hookup

Here's a rebuilt unit with warranty

Welcome to irv2.
What they intend to do is upgrade your four button control and make it a five button control and two control boards will have to be change in the AC's.
There is also a newer control system now they maybe considering.
If you remove existing control from wall and clean with contact spray the tel wire connector and work in & out of the control may clean up any oxidation on wire contacts or find a new, most likely rebuilt 4 button control.
In my signature below are three links related to your Newmar.

If you install yourself make sure you set up the dip switch's correctly so the 5 button control will recognize the control functions especially the furnace indication for bedroom sensor.
Installers always forget that one.
