I don't have the same brand coach but mine does have rocker type switches that allow you to power off both the dock lights and radio. Possibly you have something similar? I'm generally at a loss for most things electrical but an intelligence analyst by trade and it seems the two are potentially related. If not a fuse then likely a switch. Any other electrical issues?

We put a trailer brake controller on and that's when the dock lights quit working. I don't know if the radio ever worked we just bought this coach in February

How did you wire in the brake controller?

Sadly, I'm at a loss. Believe there is a good possibility the two (brake controller and the dock lights) could be related. Did the docking lights work prior to the controller installation? If they did I'd be fairly certain there is a 'connection' between the lights and controller. The radio seems unrelated and just a coincidence that it was noted when the other problem surfaced.

I don't know about the dock lights but on the radio, maybe. On my Mountain Aire, when the battery switch is turned to the "off" setting (house use) the radio wouldn't come on. I don't know how many times it took to figure out that the radio was wired to the house batteries and not the chassis battery. In fact I was at the stage of planning to replace my "defective " radio when it finally hit me that the "defective " part just might be me. LOL

OK my OEM dash radio , has a fuse ; that is very hard to get to , without pulling the radio . Is your radio an OEM Sony with removable face plate?

Are you testing the dock lights with the engine running and transmission in reverse? It's been several years since I used mine so I can't remember if they are interlocked with the BU lights.

BTW. I've found fuses in 10 different locations in my coach 4 chassis and 6 for coach systems installed by Newmar , have you found a fuse marked " dock lights " or a relay ? I'll check for the locations of those on my coach.

BTW: OEM ( Original Equipment as Manufactured )
