Hi, I have a 2000 Tradewinds by National. My A/C compressor on the engine went out and the shop is replacing under warranty. Just was informed however that the lines are all rusted out and need replacing. I am waiting for the shop to tell me what that cost will be ( I can only imagine!) Does anyone know how difficult a job this is? I think I will have to do it myself if possible. Thanks.

Don't know for sure about your coach; but the A/C lines on mine are not continuous front to rear , could be that only a 10' line around the engine needs replacement. Other places along the frame; in compartments; are protected and won't require replacement.
However, if yours are full length, look at how the heater hoses are run, could be the time to replace both, heater hoses & A/C lines.

i had my ac hose from compressor to radiator replaced. it's one piece with connectors. not a hard job, maybe a half hour, as only as they have the right clamp tool to make the connectors. remaining is to vacuum/charge up the system.

Thanks Skip. I assume these lines are steel? 2 of them?
Steel ends ; usually about the first foot, with the connecting flares/flanges; then high pressure hose, for flex and vibration reduction.
