I like to know if is ok to keep the MH on the leveling jacks 24/7. I keep my MH behind the house and we go into everyday for one thing or another. Will this damage the jacks? But that's why MH has the jacks.

We are fulltimers. We winter in Tucson and the coach is on jacks 24/7. I do relevel every 30 days just to exercise the jacks. I also spray the extended rams with silicone spray every 90 days or so. Not saying that's right, just saying that's the way I do it.

I am the same as Jim and millions of others who winter in Florida and have their jacks down for months at a time. I use Lithium Grease on my jack pistons. It can be purchased at Lowes or Home Depot. Spray, exercise the jacks every month and wipe off the excess that will be at the bottom of the piston next to the jack pad.

Some jacks might need to be lubed with something to protect the surface of the rams from corrosion. Others do not ...depends on the metal the rams are made of ...consult your jack mfg to be sure. Other than that, as the others have said, there would be no harm to leaving them extended.

According to HWH it will not hurt anything to store the motorhome with the jacks down. They recommend spraying with a silicone spray to prevent any possible corrosion to the tubes, and to provide some lubrication. Taking some of the weight off the suspension and tires is a good thing too.
