I have a Fleetwood Expedition 2005 that sits on a freightliner chassis. I just pulled it out of the garage and the ABS light came on a few seconds after I began to move it. Now what? Will it reset itself? The brakes feel fine and I have plenty of meat left on the shoes. Can the coach still be used safely?

Keep an eye on it - may be nothing but a sensor that needed a 'kick'. If it recurs, have it checked via an electronic code reader at a reputable shop.

As far as your brakes, they will continue to work regardless of whether the ABS operates or not - that is as long as there is fluid.

These sensors go through a "computer" count down check. My F350, occasionally the light will stay on a little longer then I think necessary.

If the light remains on while driving, it would be a good idea to get it checked, however the ABS system is not a critical system, just very good to have.

As , IC2 , says the light indicates that the ABS function of the brakes is not availible, you should have full function of the regular brakes. Check all the fuses, if the fuses are good then you'll have to get a scan done.
There are at least 3 wheel speed sensors in the system, and a scan will tell you the defective one, or give an indication where the problem is.
How long was the coach stored ? Any chance that a rodent got to nibbling on some wiring ?
Check the function of all electrical systems before you head out on the road. Good luck.
The light may reset if the next time the coach is started and moved the problem isn't seen in the start up test. If the light goes off after you start and then comes on when you move , one of the sensors is not reporting to the ABS controller.

Just returned from a 600 mile trip. The ABS light stayed on for the first 1/4 mile and never came back on so I guess I am good. On this same coach I have the 7.2 L. cat engine with the 3000 mh allision tranny. It has approx. 42,000 miles on it. I am curious to know if 8-8.5 miles to a gallon sounds about right for this coach. All of my driving has basically been in new england, NY state, and PA.

The ABS sensors are infamous for giving this symptom when they get dirty. Mine has done it a few times... always after driving in the rain. Mine have cleared in short order but some here report having to remove the sensors and clean them manually.

One further note - I just replaced the front brake pads on my TV and one of the ABS sensor lines was routed (factory!!) incorrectly under the brake flex hose and had rubbed about half way through that hose. The other side was fine. This might also be something to look at - I replaced both flex hoses as a safety concern. The ABS sensor line, in my case was fine

I have the same unit you have. Had it a couple of months and we love it. I am getting around the same mileage you are pulling a 2006 Honda CRV. I think that is the range to expect...glen
