AC Keeps tripping breaker

1998 Tiffin Allegro Bay motorhome, keeps tripping the breaker on RV Generator. I have also plugged it into a different generator 7500w and it trips it. Same with plugging into shore power (although i have only been able to plug it into 30amp). It wont trip instantly at first it will run anywhere between 1min and 5min (just enough to think that it will work). I believe one of the batteries is going weak on the unit as i am going to have them tested today, but i wouldnt think that would cause it to trip the a/c.

The batteries have nothing to do with the AC.

I was having the same issue on my 1999 AC and got up on the roof and removed the top cover and hosed out the coils.

It has been working fine since.

is the a/c unit original? You're compressor motor is probably done.. They usually pull anywhere from 12-18 amps when running, which should be no problem for a generator or 30 amp shore power.

Batteries, either good or bad has nothing to do with the air conditioning.
