I am not an electrician but I have solved several problems like yours over the past years. I would check for any loose connections starting with your ATS (automatic transfer switch) thru to your breaker panel. Loose connections drop voltage and cause excessive heat which will cause a breaker to trip. I recently read in a thread in this site where several of our members have found loose connections in their ATS. They believe vibration causes the loose connections if the connections were not torqued properly at installation.
Another thing you can do yourself is check the output voltage of the breaker when the generator and A/C are running only if you believe you can do so safely. You should see about 120V or a little less.
Good luck with you problem.
